Mounting and grounding the DIRECTV®
System dish antenna on
an exterior vertical wall of a single family dwelling Installing up
to 100 feet of RG-6 cable to one (1) DIRECTV®
Receiver (the
primary DIRECTV®
Receiver) through one exterior and one interior wall
Routing of cable through a standard wood frame structure or a single
layer of masonry Connection of the primary DIRECTV®
Receiver and connecting primary DIRECTV®
Receiver to a phone jack, if receiver is
within 25 feet of phone jack
Standard Professional Installation does not include:
- Install or relocation of additional receivers (unless
purchased as a multi room package)
- Extra RG-6 cable over 100 feet per run
- Mounting and grounding the DIRECTV®
System dish antenna on any surface of the home where a 25' ladder can not reach
- Drilling through more than 1 exterior and 1 interior wall
- Phone jack wiring where existing service is more than 25 feet
from receiver
- Providing any enhancements to existing phone system
- Connections to stereo, VCRs, and/or various audio components
that are not co-located with the DIRECTV®
Receiver
- Special moldings or other cosmetic hardware used to hide
exposed cables
- Non-penetrating roof mount, pole mount, or chimney mount
- Removal and/or repair of previously mounted equipment
- Or any other services not listed above
Standard Dual-Tuner
(DIRECTV® DVR) Professional
Installation includes:
- Mounting and grounding the DIRECTV® Dish
antenna on an exterior
vertical wall of a single-family dwelling (if applicable)
- A dual run of up to 125 feet of swept tested RG-6 between the
LNB and primary TV is supplied by the installer
- Any underground cable used in the installation is
"flooded" type RG-6 or greater
- No "flooded" cable is used inside the customer's
home
- All "F" fittings used are designed for the
application "out of the box" (i.e. additional boots or
"goo" are NOT to be used in an attempt to make a
non-weather tight fitting work outdoors)
- RG-6 cable is installed from the LNB to 1 TV, through an
exterior wall (standard wood frame or 1 layer of masonry).
- The satellite receiver's remote will be programmed to work
with the customer's equipment (e.g. TV, VCR)
- A connection will be made to an existing phone jack within 25
feet of the installed receiver location. (connection to a phone
line is required for DIRECTV®
System activation). Installer is
not responsible for signal strength
- All hardware necessary to mount, wire, and ground the
satellite system, within the above limits, will be supplied to
the consumer without extra charge
Standard Dual-Tuner
(DIRECTV® DVR) Professional
Installation does not include:
- The relocation or installation of an existing receiver to
another location
- The splitting of existing or new satellite lines
- Mounting and grounding the DIRECTV®
System dish antenna (if applicable)
on any surface of the home where a 25 feet ladder cannot reach
- Drilling through more than 1 exterior and 1 interior wall
phone jack wiring where existing service is more than 25 feet
from receiver
- Providing any enhancements to existing phone system (e.g.
upgrading a phone line to support a 56K modem). There will be an
additional charge to customer if no suitable existing connection
is available
- Connections to stereo, VCRs and/or various audio components
that are not co-located with the DIRECTV
®
receiverSpecial moldings or other cosmetic hardware used to hide
exposed cables
Non-penetrating roof mount, pole mount or chimney mount (if
applicable)
Removal and/or repair of previously mounted equipment
Or any other services not listed above
EACH advanced (dual tuner) receiver requires 2 runs of RG-6 from LNB or multi-switch. Cable length
included in these installations is up to 125 feet from LNB to
advanced (dual tuner) receiver.
Please Note:
- Complex and/or custom installations, including multiple
DIRECTV® Receivers, special purpose satellite dishes, etc., will
result in additional fees. Please contact us for details before
ordering
- If you are considering a professional installation of any
DIRECTV® advanced system, including any dual-tuner receiver,
additional cabling is required to connect the second tuner.
Additional installation charges may apply. If so, they will be
charged at the time of installation by the installer
