Institutions (SMATV) HTL L-band Requirements
Definition: Commercial SMATV L-band allows for a receiver to be installed in every room of a
Commercial SMATV (HTL) property in lieu of using the traditional head-end distribution
system.
The requested programming should be mirrored to each receiver attached to the L-band system.
Property Size: Property size is not limited.
Unit Count: Unit count is based on the total number of receivers attached to the L-band system or the room count if the room count is greater than the total number of receivers. There is a 20 receiver minimum unit count for L-band. The account may have less than 20 receivers however, the minimum unit count must be 20.
Programming Requirement: L-band properties are required to activate In-room Choice and maintain a minimum of $6.00 per room per month in programming fees.
Promotions: L-Band properties are eligible for the new customer offers. SD L-Band properties are not eligible to participate in the Hotel Premier Program SD Buy-Down Offer.
